In this article, Jill talks about her experiences after discontinuing hormonal contraception and how Aloe Vera helped her with her problems.
Jill's Experience Report:
I had problems with my period right from the start, and eventually, on the recommendation of my gynecologist, I started taking hormones very early on in various forms. It started with hormone patches and ended with the pill. When I was diagnosed with endometriosis, I also took the pill, which I tolerated very well, in a long-cycle regimen for some time.
In recent years, I increasingly built up my knowledge about (vegan) nutrition and toxin-free skincare, and this also led me to the decision to finally stop taking the pill.
After more than 10 years, I experienced what it means to live without additional hormones. I can only say that my skin and my organs needed a lot of support. It definitely helped that I had been eating vegan for a few years and had gathered a lot of information via social media from nutritionists specializing in women's health and hormone-free contraception.
I learned that it makes sense to support the body in the different cycle phases with the right nutrition and with special foods. For example, Wild Baboon's Aloe Vera Direct Juice helps me especially in the follicular phase, the time after the period. Here, the intestines should be supported. By focusing on foods rich in probiotics (fermented foods, for example), we help the body with hormonal increases.
With the help of cycle food, I observed an improvement in my skin and my general (emotional) state, and also the opposite when I ate very unhealthily.
I am super happy with the Aloe Vera Juice; its natural and high-quality effect makes cyclical eating so much easier. Just drink 40ml of the direct juice every morning and evening and feel better!
My personal nutrition tip: Reduce animal products to a minimum and inform yourself about plant-based protein and nutrient sources. Especially women with hormonal problems benefit greatly from a cycle-oriented, plant-based diet.
Yours, Jill
