Our Mission: Shaping Sustainability and Social Change

“Wild Baboon was born out of a vision to take people on a journey, to remind them of the treasures Mother Nature holds for us and how important our connection to nature is” – Nicole Borek, founder of Wild Baboon

Our goal is to offer high-quality Aloe Vera products that contribute to a healthy, sustainable and balanced life while protecting our planet. We see our mission not only in providing high-quality products, but also in driving social progress and change. For this purpose, we have defined clear ecological, social and economic principles, the “Wild Baboon Fair Principles”, which guide our decisions and actions.

Our Origin Story: Natural Passion, Sustainable Vision

The inspiring journey of Wild Baboon began while Nicole, the founder of Wild Baboon, was studying at the Cologne Business School. During an unforgettable semester abroad in Mexico, she was able to get to know the Aloe Vera plant and its possibilities. Back in her home country of Germany, Nicole worked as an interpreter at a trade fair in Cologne, where she met a Mexican Aloe Vera producer. Just a coincidence? ;) The two immediately clicked and understood each other. After a short time, Nicole received a unique job offer from afar, inviting her to accompany the company to international trade fairs and assist with sales and communication. Over the years, Nicole's bond with her Mexican partners deepened. She learned about the manufacturing process and the many benefits of Aloe Vera, was invited to the plantations, and eventually worked closely with them for many years as a trusted freelancer. This time laid the groundwork for a special idea: The founding of her own startup. Wild Baboon was brought to life to put visions of sustainable business into practice – a company born out of passion, now pursuing the mission to shape sustainability and a better future.

Our Team

In addition to Nicole, the founder of Wild Baboon, our team consists of two dedicated members, Celine and Hanna. These two students are not only best friends but also share a passion for travel. In April 2022, Celine and Hanna founded Mission Positivity, a charitable organization that they passionately drive forward. At Wild Baboon, they contribute their creative skills as Social Media Managers. They create inspiring content for our social media channels and write engaging newsletters for our valued Wild Baboon Community. With Wild Baboon, they have the opportunity to work online from anywhere in the world while investing their energy into projects they care about. The two are thrilled to be part of Wild Baboon – a company whose values they share and whose products they are personally convinced of.

Our Support for Positive Change

At Wild Baboon, we go beyond just producing natural cosmetic products; we want to use our company's profitability to help shape positive social change. Wild Baboon therefore supports 3 projects with up to €0.50 per product sold.

One project we support is the aforementioned charitable organization Mission Positivity. Led and founded by our Social Media Managers Celine and Hanna, the team is committed to helping people and animals in need as well as promoting environmental protection. By focusing on long-term solutions and involving the local community, they strive to bring about positive change in the world.

In addition, together with CleanHub, we annually fish 70kg of plastic from the oceans and thus support the recycling process of plastic.

Our Vision for the Future: Sustainability, Partnership, and Progress

At Wild Baboon, we are just at the beginning of our journey. Nature is very close to our hearts, which is why our goal is to make the entire value chain CO2-neutral and completely plastic-free. Our perspective extends beyond our own company, as we are always looking for new social projects in Mexico to support sustainable and resource-efficient agriculture. We are committed to constantly reviewing our practices and finding innovative approaches. At the same time, we recognize that there are areas where there is still room for improvement. For example, we still rely on plastic pump attachments because a sustainable and cost-effective alternative is currently lacking. However, this motivates us to continue looking for ways to minimize our ecological footprint and pursue our mission for sustainable change.

In the coming years, we plan to place our products in high-quality wellness hotels, pharmacies, and drugstores to reach more people and inspire them with Aloe Vera products. Furthermore, we want to expand our product range by introducing products in the areas of plant-based dietary supplements and natural cosmetics. In this way, we want to contribute to a sustainable future and accompany people on their journey to a healthier and more beautiful life.

Our vision is clear: Wild Baboon will not only sell products but will be a reliable companion that leads to more health and beauty in harmony with nature. We rely on partnership, sustainability, and innovation to create a better future together.
