Easy gut restoration with Aloe Vera

You've probably heard that the gut plays an important role in the body's immune defense. But how exactly does it do that? And isn't it actually only responsible for digestion?

The Gut – Immune System and Digestive Organ

The gut is a complex organ. Its bacteria determine nutrient absorption, intervene in the immune system, and sometimes also influence body weight. If the gut flora is damaged or there are too few "good" bacteria, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, allergies, food intolerances, as well as neurological and psychological impairments can result, negatively affecting well-being.

Scientists have found that the gut, with over 70% of the immune cells located within it, may be one of the most important players in the endocrine system. The gut is not only responsible for digestion but also produces 20 of its own hormones as a glandular organ, such as dopamine, melatonin, or serotonin. These hormones can have a significant influence on our well-being and mood.

Hormones - The Gut in Conversation with the Body

Hormones (Greek for "drive") control processes and functions in the body. They communicate with the brain and other glands such as the pancreas or adrenal gland. Hormones include the happiness hormones dopamine and serotonin, the sleep hormone melatonin, and regulatory hormones such as ghrelin and leptin. Due to the interaction of melatonin and serotonin in the gut, too little or poor sleep has consequences for the gut microbiome. Conversely, the same is true. If high levels of stress are added over a long period, the microbiome is also negatively affected. The stress hormones cortisol, adrenaline, and noradrenaline are released for too long, thereby altering the hormonal balance in the gut.

However, the gut microbiome also influences the estrogen level in the body; a disturbance in the microbiome can lead to an under- or oversupply of free estrogen. Endometriosis, breast and prostate cancer, and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) can be the consequences. In PCOS and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, the permeability of the gut is increased (so-called "leaky gut").

The fact is, therefore, that a healthy gut can absorb all important nutrients to maintain a balanced hormone household and ensure a balanced gut flora. Many good gut bacteria have an anti-inflammatory effect. Overall, gut health must be supported to have full energy in all areas of life.

Aloe Vera - Plant Essence

With over 200 scientifically proven ingredients, Aloe Vera has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, and immunostimulating properties. These many helpers in Aloe Vera include:

  • Amino acids
  • Provitamin A
  • Vitamin B1, B2, B6, B12,
  • Vitamin C and E, as well as
  • Iron
  • Calcium,
  • Magnesium
  • Potassium, and
  • many secondary plant compounds.

The aloverose (also: acemannan) it contains is a long-chain sugar molecule that can positively influence cellular reactions. Aloverose can accelerate cell renewal and support bones and oral tissue. Aloe Vera also increases the bioavailability of vitamins C, E, and B12, as noted in this study.

Cleanse the Gut with Aloe Vera

Even if the full potential of Aloe Vera is not yet fully understood due to a lack of extensive studies, many studies have already shown an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect both internally and externally. We have summarized studies for you here at the end of the article. Scientists in Chile have found that Aloe Vera supports the population growth of Bifidobacteria in the gut. The reason for this is the aforementioned aloverose and fructans, which serve as food for good gut bacteria. Gut bacteria also produce vitamin K and support the absorption of calcium, magnesium, and iron. This creates a mutually positive effect with Aloe Vera, which contains these nutrients and thus promotes overall mineral intake.

When we relieve our gut, for example through gentle food, the entire digestive system can work better, which in turn has a positive influence on sleep, stress reduction, and the strengthening of our immune system.

What do fermented foods do in the gut?

The term "fermentation" comes from the Latin fermentum, meaning "leaven" or "fermented drink." It describes a natural process where organic substances are transformed by microorganisms such as lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, or fungi – a process that not only extends the shelf life of foods but also imparts new flavor nuances and improves nutrient availability.

Fermented foods are rich in living microorganisms, which, as natural probiotics, promote the growth of beneficial bacterial strains in the gut. They support the formation of short-chain fatty acids like butyrate, which have anti-inflammatory effects and nourish the intestinal lining. At the same time, they can inhibit the growth of potentially harmful germs, thus maintaining the microbial balance in the gut.

A balanced microbiome is crucial for stable digestion, a healthy immune system, and overall well-being.

The positive effect of fermented foods, however, strongly depends on the quality and variety of the fermented products. Raw, untreated, and with live cultures, they are particularly effective, as emphasized by Kelly Bilodeau, former Executive Editor of Harvard Women’s Health Watch, in an article on the official Harvard Health Publishing website. She points out that only naturally fermented foods with active microorganisms offer real benefits for the microbiome, while pasteurized or vinegar-preserved products largely lose their probiotic effect.

FLORA VIDA – The Power of Living Microorganisms

FLORA VIDA embraces this ancient principle of fermentation and carries it forward in a modern, innovative form. This multi-stage fermented product combines selected organic medicinal plants including Aloe Vera, vital mushrooms, and roots with 31 living microorganisms, whose bioavailability is increased through this process.

All ingredients are natural and preserved in raw food quality. Through careful fermentation, the delicate plant compounds retain their original energy and broad enzyme spectrum, creating a living elixir.

This makes FLORA VIDA an intense taste experience, combining the gentle spiciness of ginger and cayenne with a mild, earthy note of reishi, aloe vera, and turmeric, perfectly rounded off by the sparkling freshness of fermentation.

Application: Drink 25 ml daily, pure or diluted in a little water. We recommend a course of at least 60 days (= 3 bottles of FLORA VIDA).
